This event is part of 'The Saturday Circle' which hosts monthly, repair, share, regen, reuse and community-building workshops. It's a great get-together at the Randwick Sustainability Hub and is held on the second Saturday of the month. Most events are 10:00am - 12:00pm.
These workshops provide an easy pathway to a solid foundation in creative phone photography regardless of your experience. The course is designed to focus on various aspects of photography technique and mindful observation. Beginners and advanced users will both benefit and learn. Our approach combines mindfulness with practical photography techniques used by professionals for creative photography.
Each session includes an editing component that teaches you to enhance your work using the tools available on your phone.
Learn everything from how to set up your phone for both photography and security to good habits that will transform your photos. You will learn plenty of tips & tricks! Each session is a standalone workshop, so join in at any time.

Overview
This workshop is designed to help you deepen your creative photography. We will use an open learning format to guide you into a deeper understanding of how to utilise your photography equipment, including lenses and accessories, to take control of the image you want to make.
We incorporate the key principles of observation and combine them with techniques to add meaning to the images you create, utilising focal length, perspective, mood, and tripod usage. This session is suitable for photographers of all levels, whether using a camera or a smartphone camera.
How will I benefit?
• Learn creative photography from experienced photographers.
• Socialise and connect with fellow photographers.
• Receive ongoing help and support. (Handy if you are planning to travel)
Bring your accessories!
Bring your tripod, special lenses and filters (like ND filters) if you have them. A small torch and a mirror to reflect sunlight can also be useful. A spritz bottle for water droplets is a fun addition too. We’ll help you use these accessories effectively. After the workshop, relax, have a bite to eat and a refreshing glass of “what works for you”. This social part allows us to discuss, share stories and laugh, continuing your learning. So, please allow some time for this if you can.
